Heavy Kinship no. 2: Getting Stoned (or Saxa Vitae)

Artist: Nana Francisca Schottländer & Friends
Heavy Kinship is an ongoing exploration of the co-creative potential of stone and flesh, rock and human. Of the meeting between entities and bodies, both human and other-than-human, of ways of being, notions of time and the act of collaborative creation. The work is inspired by the Japanese concept of MA, object oriented ontology and panpsychism, poetry and and various approaches to inter/intra-species kinship.

For EC1 24H the artist will work with a load of rocks and boulders, going through different spatial explorations and meditatively performative interactions an encounters with them. Creating living images using gravity, ropes, human body/ies, mirrors and lights. Asking visitors to participate in interactions and cross species somatic meditations and also inviting friends and likeminded rock-lovers to take part in installational and performative actions.

The performance will start at midnight and evolve throughout the day.

INSIDE OUT

Artist: Danilo Milovanović
Although we expose a big part of our personality via social networks and on the net, the private things we carry with us in public describe us from a different point of view. The aim of the project is to explore the relation between the private and the public sphere in relation to intimacy, power and security.
Playing the role of a security guard, the artist will peep in your privacy in exchange for entrance pass. The result of this action will become the only material and visual trace of the project.
